What's new in COBIT®7

COBIT®7 arrives in COBIT's 30th year. It keeps the globally recognised COBIT model and adds digital delivery, practical assessment tools and a stronger focus on AI, so organisations can measure how well their I&T governance works and plan what to improve.

A digital-first framework

COBIT moves to ISACA's new digital platform: intuitive and searchable, with a Design Guide and video guidance on using the design and assessment tools.

Three levels of assessment

A new assessment module with board-level, high-level and detailed assessments. It sets a clear baseline, shows where governance is weak and gives you a measurable roadmap for improvement.

Built for the age of AI

More AI examples, new AI-related risk scenarios and an ISACA white paper on governing AI systems, to help you manage AI risk and get real value from AI investment.

More practical guidance

Two new design factors, more detailed activity statements for every practice, and examples refreshed for today's technology landscape.

Last updated 10 October 2026, from ISACA's published information.
